We don’t believe in siloed teams – content, technology, media and data overlap in all roles at Byte. We need someone to deliver smart paid and owned channel planning and execution across several clients. This person will develop media strategies and deliver those strategies day to day. They will use data and insight in all aspects of the role, ensuring we deliver the most effective campaigns – we want someone who gets data and media.

Marketing and technology is converging at a rapid rate. Technology can now deliver the marketing promise of personalized communications at scale. However, technology is useless without ideas that capture consumers’ imaginations. We need someone who understands our client’s customers, who can put themselves in their shoes to create strategies and ideas that exceed expectations, who understands that brands are competing for consumers’ attention and have at best a couple of seconds to inspire some sort of interaction. We need people who can come up with big ideas as well as lots of little ones that are framed in a solid strategy grounded in insight.

The role of a CRM Planning is exciting, varied and constantly evolving. We are looking for a strategic thinker that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. We need someone that can help to ideate and run CRM campaigns for our clients. This role works with a number of disciplines at Byte, so being able to work both independently and with a team is crucial.

In this role, you will:

Ideate on engagement and retention strategies across multiple channels with a focus on email marketing

Implement CRM campaigns from start to finish

Support account planners in delivery of work across CRM

Writing personalized copy for marketing campaigns

Work with design team to ensure creative matches strategy and follows best practice

Analyze, optimize and report on KPIs (e.g open rate, CTR) and make recommendations

Formulate A/B testing frameworks

Proactively propose new ways for clients to run their CRM campaigns, and support on new business pitches

Collaborate with the wider media team, showing clients the benefits of an integrated Social & CRM strategy

Ensure work is to the highest possible standard, with constant innovation across all deliverables

Research and assess technology solutions and processes to improve our capabilities

Contribute insights and strategic thinking to all areas of the business (creative, tech, media, data)

Liaise with suppliers when relevant

Complete work to deadline and often under pressure


To be considered for this role, you will need the skills or experience outlined below.


2+ years experience in a CRM function

Experience with ESPs (e.g. Klaviyo, Braze)

Passion for marketing industry and platform trends

Strong analytical skills, comfortable interpreting large data sets using Excel / Google Sheets

Knowledge of segmentation and personalization strategies

Experience with coding / HTML

Above average written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to work independently and with a team

Advanced internet research and problem solving skills

Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail

Strong presentation skills

Ability to react quickly within a fast-paced environment

Nice to have (Not essential):

Familiarity with Paid Social marketing in order to make recommendations with the full picture in mind

Familiarity with data visualization techniques and use of Google Data Studio dashboards
