JOB PURPOSE

We are excited to be recruiting this new role in our growing People team. We are on the look-out for an awesome HR Assistant who has a genuine passion about people and process. This is a great opportunity for someone with knowledge of HR best practice and/or experience in a similar role looking to develop their generalist skills in a fast paced and fun environment. 

You will be responsible for providing top-class HR support to 100+ employees and supporting the Head of People. This is an incredibly hands-on role and that requires a high-level of planning, organisation and coordination and would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and growing company. You will also be given the opportunity to suggest new ways of working and improvements to improve operational efficiency.

The role will report to and support the Head of People in London and mentoring will be provided. The People team in London also has a Talent Acquisition Assistant. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is exciting, varied and constantly evolving. In this role you will:

  • Act as a main point of contact for employees queries throughout the entire employment lifecycle with support from the Head of People
  • Maintain our HR systems to ensure it is up-to-date at all times
  • Manage the HR aspects of the onboarding and offboarding process 
  • Develop effective and efficient HR admin processes during high-growth periods
  • Provide HR admin support to the Head of People
  • Contribute to policy research and development 
  • Coordinate the benefit administration and keep systems up-to-date
  • Maintain personnel files and records 
  • Coordinate employee engagement surveys 
  • Produce contract addendums and other paperwork 
  • Coordinate employee milestone events such a probationary period, performance reviews 
  • Produce HR metrics and analyse data to find patterns and trends 
  • Coordinate training events & support the Ops team with planning social activities across the agency
  • Support with UK Skilled Visa applications, enhanced background checks and desk assessments 
  • Support the agency with their Diversity, Equality and Inclusion commitments 
  • Support on ad-hoc recruitment projects & activities 
  • Research and recommend new HR initiatives, platforms, etc 
  • Maintain and create an enjoyable working environment 
  • Be responsive and detailed orientated 
  • Handle sensitive information and act with a high degree of discretion

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE 

Essential:

  • At least 1 year experience of working within a HR team or a good knowledge of HR best practices
  • Super organised with the ability to prioritise a high volume of tasks 
  • Passionate about people 
  • Task-driven with a “can-do” attitude and desire to learn new things 
  • Enjoys coordination and administration 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner 
  • Experience of working at a fast growing company 
  • Emotionally intelligent with an ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy

Nice to have: 

  • Understanding of the full HR life cycle 
  • Experience of implementing and/or using HR systems 
  • Experience of developing effective and efficient HR admin processes during high-growth periods
  • Experience with diversity and inclusion strategies 
  • Basic understanding of UK employment law and policies
